The inspiration for the painting was the landscape of the Bieszczady Mountains — a place particularly close to the artist's heart. On one of the hills, a herd of horses could regularly be observed standing peacefully in a mountain pasture. Their presence, rhythm, and natural serenity became the emotional foundation of this composition.
