The inspiration for this painting came from horses, movement, and very personal experiences related to my family. My daughters have been training in show jumping for years, and life around the stable, training sessions, competitions, and daily work with horses has become a natural part of our everyday life.

The painting captures the unique moment of a jump — a brief instant where concentration, trust, preparation, and courage converge. It is a fraction of a second that is the result of many hours of work by both the rider and the horse.

However, this is not just a painting about sport. It is a story about partnership, mutual trust, and a relationship built every day. In show jumping, human and horse must act as one organism, trusting each other unconditionally.
