This painting depicts a situation most of us know from our own experience.

We are among people. We seem to be participating in a gathering — we talk, we smile, we hold a glass in our hand. Yet somewhere deep inside, there's a feeling that we don't quite fit in.

The woman in the foreground is among friends, yet she seems separated from them. Physically present, but emotionally alone. Her posture reveals uncertainty, bewilderment, and an attempt to find her place. Perhaps she wonders if these relationships are genuine. If she is truly part of this group. If a shared evening, conversation, and a glass of wine can build the closeness she truly seeks.

I build this painting, like all my works, from thousands of small circular forms — from up close, they scatter into pure color; from afar, they coalesce into figures and the entire scene. It is a work where many people will recognize their own moment — and that is why it stays with you for a long time.

Authenticity
The painting is hand-painted, signed on the front and back, and comes with a named certificate of authenticity with the title, dimensions, year of creation, and my signature. This is the only copy of this work — a second one will never be created.
