Details
Year: 2024 · Dimensions: 100 × 80 cm · Technique: acrylic on canvas · Type: original contemporary painting — unique, one of a kind
The inspiration for this painting was one of the places that made the greatest impression on me during my travels — the island of Mauritius. The composition arises from personal memories of the area around Le Morne mountain, whose characteristic silhouette appears in the painting, grounding it in a real landscape.
However, this is not a literal view or an attempt to faithfully recreate the place. It is an emotional interpretation of the memory and atmosphere of Mauritius — focused on light, space, and the calm rhythm of nature. A story about breath, freedom, and harmony, which we often find away from everyday life. About moments when time slows down, and we reconnect with nature and ourselves.
I build this painting, like all my works, from thousands of small circular forms — from up close they scatter into pure color, from afar they assemble into a landscape. This work brings space and calm to an interior — for someone who appreciates art that evokes memories and a sense of travel. It will find its place in the living room, bedroom, or wherever you want a piece of that freedom close to you.
Authenticity
The painting is hand-painted, signed on the front and back, and I include a personal certificate of authenticity with the title, dimensions, year of creation, and my signature. This is the only copy of this work — a second one will never be created.
Framing and readiness to hang
The painting is sold unframed — on a high-quality stretcher, ready to hang immediately after unpacking. Raw, unframed canvas is a conscious contemporary choice: it gives complete freedom if you later decide to choose a frame to suit your interior.
Shipping
I personally pack each work with the utmost care. Smaller and medium paintings are shipped fully assembled, on a stretcher. Larger formats, for complete transport safety, are removed from the stretcher and shipped rolled in a rigid protective tube — re-stretching them onto the stretcher is simple and can be done by any framing workshop (I'd be happy to advise how to do it). All shipments are fully insured and sent via reputable courier companies, with a tracking number.
See the painting live
The colors and texture of this work are best appreciated in person. If you are in Warsaw, I invite you to my gallery on Tucholska street — let's arrange a calm, individual viewing. Call or write to me, and we will find a convenient time to meet by the painting.
