The painting came from the story of an engagement during an African safari and from my long fascination with Out of Africa. It is a story about closeness, love and the particular kind of freedom you can only find in contact with wild nature.

The painting shows a person against a vast, open space. That contrast — between the intimacy of human emotion and the sheer scale of nature — became the heart of the composition.

  • ORBIS — 47 × 53.5 cm — edition of up to 50

Dimensions are for the print alone, without framing. In the ORBIS format there is also a unique number 1 — the first copy from the whole edition.

Craft

Giclée on archival Hahnemühle cotton paper with museum-grade pigment inks — no fading for decades. Hand-signed and numbered, with a personally signed certificate of authenticity. A strictly limited edition: once sold out, it never returns to print.

Framing

You can order the print on its own, to frame yourself, or ready-framed — ready to hang straight out of the box. Choose the option above.

Framing includes a black wooden frame, acrylic glazing (lighter and safer in transit than glass), a mat, acid-free backing to protect the work and an HDF back panel. Available in all formats.

Unframed, the print has a white margin around the composition, which makes later framing with a mat easier.
